These instructions you gave look like you got them from the "Creating Pulsars" tutorial inside the tutorial folder, so just to help make my point I wanna mention that the tutorial says in order to make a Pulsar you need to start with either a White Dwarf OR Neutron Star. So when you take a White Dwarf (Sirius B) and increase its magnetic field, its still a White Dwarf, you just made the White Dwarf into a Pulsar. Neutron Stars and White Dwarfs are different types of stars.Ī Neutron Star can be a pulsar, a White Dwarf can be a Pulsar.but just because something is a Pulsar doesnt mean its a Neutron Star. Sirius B (which is a White Dwarf) and increase its magnetic field, all this does is create a White Dwarf Pulsar.

I know this is an old post on an old thread so I apologize, but since it was resurrected recently I just wanted to clear something up for anyone else who might read this. Then click on it, select it's properties, got to materials, got to the magnetic field selection, type 10e+12 Gauss, and change the magnetic pole angle a bit, and you have a neutron star!
